Vatnsmýrin is a big chunk of land in Reykjavík, currently occupied by the local airport. Since it is planned for the airport to move eventually, the city held a global compitition on how to plan the use of that land.

We were asked to take the 136 ideas that were sent in and display them in a book and this blue giant is the result.

A book counting over 200 pages and printed in the largest format the printer was able to print, it became a best seller as soon as it came out. First print run was sold in only 5 days and a second print is recently hot of the presses.

This was a project at Atelier Atli Hilmarsson and was done in collaboration with Atli Hilmarsson and Birna Geirfinnsdóttir.
