Og Hafið

A book containing a collection of poems about the sea by the renowned icelandic writer Einar Már Guðmundsson.

His collections of poems then inspired the icelandic painter Tolli to create 4 paintings that were used as the illustrations for the books and also put up as an exhibition when the book came out. On the paintings, parts of words from the poems are written, connecting the two arts forms even more.

All the images in the book are scaled 1:1 to the paintings, making the images like little cut outs from the paintings them selfs.

The whole project was a collaboration between the two artists, Magnús Ingi Magnússon, Gunnar Sigmundsson, Haukur Harðarson, Sveinn Blöndal and myself.
